Few modern paintings have developed quite the reputation of The Hands Resist Him.
Painted by Bill Stoneham in 1972, it depicts a young boy standing beside a strange humanoid doll. Behind them is a glass door covered in numerous handprints.
The painting became infamous online after being listed on eBay in the early 2000s with claims that it was haunted.
Whether the supernatural stories are true is another question entirely.
But the painting itself?
Yeah.
It's creepy enough without needing a ghost attached to it.
The doll's expression alone is enough to make you think twice about leaving your bedroom door open at night.
