Final Thought
“Blood on the Risers” may be one of the strangest songs in military history, but that's exactly what makes it so memorable. It takes fear, death and the possibility of gruesome disaster and transforms them into something communal—a song soldiers could shout together before doing something that required an enormous amount of courage.
