The Secret Is That Every Match Is Different
One of the biggest reasons Dead by Daylight has survived for so long is that no two matches are quite the same.
You can know the map.
You can know your Killer.
You can know your perks.
You can know exactly what you're supposed to do.
And then another human being gets involved.
That's when everything goes spectacularly wrong.
A Survivor might make a brilliant escape.
Another might accidentally run directly into the Killer.
Someone will inevitably unhook another Survivor at exactly the wrong moment.
Someone else will spend approximately seven minutes hiding in a locker while the rest of the team does all the work.
And somewhere out there, a Killer is wondering why four people have suddenly decided that the basement belongs to them.
