Ten Years Is a Very Long Time in Gaming
Think about how much has changed since 2016.
Games have come and gone.
Consoles have changed.
Gaming communities have changed.
Streaming has changed.
Social media has changed.
The way people discover games has changed.
And yet Dead by Daylight is still here.
In fact, the game has reached the point where its developers are openly discussing its future beyond the first decade. A 2026 interview with Behaviour developers described the game as having potentially at least another ten years ahead of it.
That's an extraordinary statement.
Imagine telling someone in 2016:
“Don't worry. You'll still be getting murdered by The Trapper in 2026.”
They probably would have asked what a Trapper was.
