Daisy from DOOM
Daisy from DOOM

She may look like an ordinary bunny, but in the world of DOOM, Daisy became something much bigger.

There are plenty of terrifying creatures in the DOOM universe. Demons. Imps. Cacodemons. Hell Knights. Revenants. Cyberdemons. And, of course, whatever that thing is that looks like it really needs a dentist.

But before DOOM Guy became the demon-slaying, shotgun-wielding nightmare of Hell, he had something considerably more wholesome in his life: a pet rabbit named Daisy.

And yes, Daisy is adorable.

Unfortunately, being associated with DOOM Guy isn't exactly the safest career choice.

Meet Daisy, DOOM Guy’s Beloved Rabbit

Daisy first appeared in the original DOOM as a small but surprisingly important part of the protagonist's backstory.

Before the demons invaded Mars and Hell essentially turned the UAC facility into the world's worst workplace, DOOM Guy had a pet rabbit. Her name was Daisy, and she was apparently very important to him.

The manual for DOOM II makes the situation considerably darker. After returning home from his first demon-slaying adventure, DOOM Guy discovers that Daisy has been killed.

That's right.

The adorable bunny didn't make it.

And if you've ever wondered why DOOM Guy seems particularly motivated to turn every demon he encounters into chunky red confetti, Daisy might have something to do with it.
