Michael Myers Is Finally the Main Character
Here's where things get really interesting.
Halloween: The Game includes a single-player story mode in which you actually play as Michael Myers.
Not "Michael Myers appears occasionally."
Not "Michael Myers is an NPC who chases you."
You ARE Michael Myers.
The single-player campaign retells and expands the events of the original movie from Michael's perspective.
The story is divided into six chapters, beginning with Michael's escape from Smith's Grove Sanitarium and leading toward his Halloween-night rampage in Haddonfield.
And yes, the game will show Michael acquiring some of the iconic items that have become synonymous with the character—including his jumpsuit, mask and kitchen knife.
That's a pretty clever approach.
Instead of simply recreating the movie and making you play through scenes you've already seen a hundred times, the developers are essentially asking:
"What if you got to decide how Michael does it?"
