And Yes, Michael Has Costumes
Because apparently even Michael Myers needs a wardrobe.
The game includes multiple cosmetic options, including the Phantom Michael Myers skin and other variations.
The physical editions also include access to additional skins such as the Clown and Samhain Michael Myers skins.
Some of these can also be earned through in-game challenges rather than simply buying them.
Which is good.
Because if Michael Myers ever appears wearing a clown costume, I think the correct response is to immediately move to another town.
So What Do We Think?
On paper, Halloween: The Game has an awful lot going for it.
It's built around the 1978 movie.
It has a dedicated single-player Michael Myers campaign.
It has a 1v4 multiplayer mode.
It features Laurie, Annie, Lynda and Bob.
It recreates familiar Haddonfield locations while expanding the town.
It gives Michael his own unique mechanics, including Shape Jump.
And perhaps most importantly, it understands that Michael Myers isn't a superhero.
He's a presence.
He's a shadow.
He's the guy standing across the street who somehow disappears the moment you look away.
Turning that into a multiplayer game is a fascinating challenge.
