11. The Don't Go in There Door
There's always a door.
It's usually old.
It's usually locked.
It's usually covered in scratches.
There may be screaming behind it.
There may be blood underneath it.
There may be a warning written across it in ancient Latin.
Naturally:
OPEN THE DOOR.
What's behind it?
A monster?
A corpse?
A portal to Hell?
A cursed artifact?
Sometimes it's just a cat.
And that's almost worse because now everyone has spent five minutes screaming at a cat.
