You stabbed him.
He got back up.
You shot him.
He got back up.
You threw him off a building.
He got back up.
You burned him.
He got back up.
You dropped a piano on him.
He got back up.
At this point, stop attacking the man.
He's clearly committed to the bit.
This trope is one of the reasons horror franchises survive for decades.
The villain doesn't need to be immortal.
He just needs to have excellent job security.
