6. The Mysterious Stranger Who Knows Everything
Every small town has one.
You meet them at a gas station.
They stare at you.
They slowly say:
"You shouldn't go up there."
And naturally, the protagonists respond:
"Where?"
"The old mine."
"Cool. We're going there."
The mysterious stranger could literally hand them a VHS tape labeled DO NOT WATCH OR YOU WILL DIE, and somebody would still put it in the VCR.
