Because being terrified shouldn't require a monthly subscription.
The internet has given horror fans something previous generations could only dream about: an absolutely ridiculous amount of horror available at little to no cost. Movies, books, games, audio dramas, short films, weird experimental projects, indie creations and enough creepy material to ensure you will never again have an excuse to say, “There's nothing to watch.”
And that's exactly where things get interesting.
Because while the biggest streaming services fight over who gets to charge you another $17.99 for the privilege of watching the same twelve horror movies, an enormous amount of genuinely interesting horror is sitting elsewhere online. Some of it is old. Some of it is obscure. Some of it was made by one person in their bedroom at three in the morning. And some of it is so strange that you may eventually question why you clicked on it in the first place.
Welcome to the wonderful world of free horror on the internet.
