April Fools Day (1986)
April Fool's Day is a clever little '80s horror mystery that knows exactly what its audience expects—and has a lot of fun playing with those expectations. The story follows a group of college friends who gather at a secluded island mansion for spring break, only to discover that someone may be picking them off one by one.
The movie delivers plenty of atmosphere, suspicious characters, creepy surroundings, and classic slasher-movie setups. But what makes April Fool's Day stand out is its willingness to mess with the rules of the genre.
