Vampires vs Werewolves, Who Would Win in a Fight to the Death Between These Two Legendary Creatures – 4 Parts [Horror Land]
Meeting the Legends!
Vampires and Werewolves are the most potent and enduring myths of western society. Many have envisioned which of these two creatures would survive in a epic battle to the death. But the history of these two foes is a lot more serene than you’d expecte.
These two foes were first envisioned togther in a 1944 screen play Wolfman vs Dracula which was to be Univsersal Studios sequal to ‘Frankenstein Meets the Wolf Man’. The Film would have seen the two creatiures at each others necks, but the film was never made. It was not untill 1964 that the two monsters even showed up on screen togther, but in a very different guise to the visions of unviersal battling script.
The Munster exploded onto TV bringing all three of the classic Universal Monsters (Dracula , Wolfman and Frankeinstein) togther in a sitcom format. More importantly , Dracula and the wolfman were Grandad and Grandson and despite a few falling outs, they got along quite well. It seems that history had firmly found a place for vampires and werewolves, and thier relation ship was set to be friendly for years to come.
From Bobby Pickett’s 1962 hit song Monster Mash to cartoons such as Groovie Goolies and Drak Pack, the duo were shown as cool, musical fun guys to party with.

She falsely accused of bewitching men but was soon pardoned. Unfortunately her victory would be short lived. She climbed a rock looking for her unfaithful lover, slipped and fell to her death.

John Carpenter [Sacred Bones Records]
John Carpenter has been responsible for much of the horror genre’s most striking soundtrack work in the fifteen movies he’s both directed and scored. The themes that drive them can be stripped to a few coldly repeating notes, take on the electrifying thunder of a rock concert, or submerge themselves into exotic, unholy miasmas. The son of a music professor, Carpenter attended the University of Southern California when the sounds of progressive, synthesizer-driven rock were on the horizon. It was with the minimal, iconic music of Halloween where Carpenter truly broke through as a major director - and film musician. Composers before him had used minimalism to create terror, whether it was two piano notes for a killer shark or the stabbing strings of a mother-obsessed psychopath, but it was Halloween’s brilliantly interwoven synth melodies that truly took genre scoring to a new, more sinister level.

Unbury Carol Book Review [The Horror Bookshelf]
Like a lot of people, the first time I read Malerman’s work was when I stumbled across his debut novel Bird Box. Bird Box is a unique story that follows a woman named Malorie as she attempts to find a safe place to take her two children, five years after the arrival of the mysterious creatures who can drive people to madness with just one glimpse. Reading Bird Box, I was drawn in immediately by his unique take on the post-apocalyptic story and the world building that went into the story. After I finished that, I was sold on Malerman’s talent and knew I was going to be a longtime fan. I’ve read everything Malerman has released since Bird Box, and while each book has its own style, the one constant is Malerman’s storytelling ability and imagination. When I first about his latest release, Unbury Carol, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on a copy and see what sort of adventure Malerman conjured up this time around.

When a singer (Susanne Loret) is horribly disfigured in a car accident, a scientist (Alberto Lupo) develops a treatment which can restore her beauty by injecting her with a special serum. While performing the procedure, however, he falls in love with her. As the treatment begins to fail, he determines to save her appearance, regardless of how many women he must kill for her sake.
